Hanson recently upgraded a quarry at Red Hill in Western Australia. Scope Engineering Services was selected as the mechanical contractor for the works upon recommendations at other sites and through a rigorous competitive procurement process.
The project management team, including myself were impressed with the technical knowledge as well as practical solutions to a number of site specific problems. Cut-ins to plant were completed in a timely yet safe manner, working around running plant and equipment.
Workmanship was always of a high standard and tasks were undertaken efficiently. The upgrade as a whole has been deemed a high success, winning two CCAA (WA) awards: Health and Safety Performance and Health and Safety Innovation.
Not only were the Scope Engineering Services solutions innovative and award winning, the whole project was completed without injuries, delivered on time and on budget. Hanson Construction Materials engaged Scope Engineering to build a 400,000ton per annum hard rock fixed plant in 2015, this project was a greenfield site which brought with it a number of challenges The communication between the site Project, Compliance manager, contractors and employees of Scope Engineering made this job a success both internally & externally. The project was completed well within the projected time & budget, this also included construction of the Workshop and Pre-coat Plant, Hanson Construction Materials would have no hesitation in recommending Scope Engineering for future work
